New Elevator Installation (Vertical Transportation)
As a property manager or building owner, it's common to have top-notch elevator systems that, over time, no longer meet performance standards. This is often due to the proprietary nature of some manufacturers' advanced control systems, which can quickly become outdated when parts for repairs or replacements are no longer readily available. If you're considering a new elevator, VSA Consulting offers several helpful services.
New Construction
For property owners, outdated equipment or obsolete computer systems signal the need for elevator replacement.
VSA Consulting provides evaluations and comparisons of different manufacturers' equipment, helping you make informed choices about which manufacturer and system align best with your needs and budget. Our services cover comprehensive design, development, specifications, and project management, ensuring a smooth journey from start to finish, including maintenance specifications to protect your investment.
Design Engineering
VSA offers a complete range of elevator design and engineering services that set us apart from most other elevator consultants. While many consultants focus solely on serving property owners and architects, VSA also works directly with elevator companies. Although new construction is part of our portfolio, most of our projects focus on upgrading and modifying existing elevator systems.
We specialize in preparing detailed elevator shop drawings, which are especially useful for planning complex alterations, including structural changes and other intricate conditions. These drawings and engineering documents are ideal for submission to owners, consultants, and regulatory bodies and play a vital role in equipment procurement, fabrication, and successful on-site installation.
Traffic Analysis
VSA offers a full suite of services for vertical transportation.
Alongside our expertise, we utilize advanced design software to simulate and analyze building traffic patterns. This enables us to identify the most efficient and cost-effective solutions, ultimately enhancing the vertical transportation experience for building occupants.
Feasibility Studies
We review building layouts and drawings to determine the most suitable elevator configuration, machine room placement, and potential elevator pit alterations. A site visit allows us to visually assess the current conditions, enabling us to evaluate the feasibility of elevator installation based on our research and comparison with existing site conditions.
We also visit the site to observe traffic flow, assess the condition of the current equipment, and evaluate the quality of maintenance on the elevator. We examine cleanliness and housekeeping around the equipment, assess performance based on age and other factors, and measure these elements against industry standards.
Test Witnessing
Category tests are conducted to ensure safe and reliable service.
VSA conducts thousands of Category 1 and 5 tests each year throughout New York City's five boroughs. By witnessing these tests, we provide you with an honest, unbiased, and independent assessment of your vertical transportation system’s condition.
