Please note: As of January 1, 2022, PVT inspections are referred to as Periodic Inspections.
This change effects all building owners in New York City. Building owners now have the responsibility of initiating these inspections. These inspections shall be performed on behalf of an approved elevator consulting agency as referred to in the DOB Code as indicated by N1 of ASME A17.1 of appendix K – Section 28-304.6.
These Periodic Inspections must be performed between January 1st and December 31st of each calendar year.
